Baird Valve & Regulator – FAQ

What products does Baird make?

Back pressure regulators, liquid and gas safety valves (1″, 2″, 3″), LPG relief valves, by-pass relief valves, plus pump parts, snubber cages, ball-and-seat assemblies, plus a range of other oilfield equipment and related industrial products. Please visit our website for a full list of our product offerings.

Where are the valves used?

Oil and gas production, pipelines, refineries, chemical plants, industrial water systems such as Hydrovac trucks, pressure washing systems, car washes, and hydro excavating systems.

Why choose Baird?

  • A century of proven pressure-control design.
  • Component-specific trim choices: Red Oxide, Teflon-coated, Heat-Treated carbon steel, 303 and 316 stainless for cages/retainers; Inconel & Stainless-Steel springs; Sher-Alloy, Silicon Nitride, Tungsten Carbide and Cobalt-Nickel Carbide for ball-and-seat assemblies—covering sour, abrasive and high-velocity service.
  • Quick maintenance with K1–K4 factory repair kits and individual replacement parts for all Baird’s products

Are Baird valves field-serviceable?

Yes. Most models can be rebuilt or adjusted on site without special tools using factory repair kits and parts.

Do they meet industry codes?

Many gas valves carry ASME “UV” certification and National Board registration for over-pressure protection. All of Baird’s non-ASME valves are built to American Petroleum Institute specifications with a strict quality control program including liquid relief valves which are hydrostatically tested prior to leaving our facility. Baird offers a certificate of hydrostatic test for all valves upon request.
